While others are “Netflix and Chilling” take the time to improve yourself. Even if you may be stuck at home, there's still so much to be done! Here's four ways to make the most of your time.

Get Involved

Many high schoolers are finding impactful ways to help their communities during the COVID-19 crisis. Some are 3D printing face masks to help first responders and others are delivering groceries to those in need. Use your strengths to create a your own unique impact during this pandemic.

Test Preparation

Especially for students in 10th grade, this is a fantastic time to intensify your SAT or ACT preparation. Brush up on your grammar, reading comprehension, and quantitative skills. Create and follow a strict study plan, and make sure to practice taking full-length exams to build endurance and accurately assess your score. If you're early in your test-prep journey try Khan Academy's SAT course; or, if you prefer, many other companies such as Kaplan are offering extended trials on their test prep courses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Learn new skills

While others are “Netflix and Chilling” learn a new skill. Dive into data science or “No Code." Take one of the 450 free Ivy League online classes. Improve your chess skills on Chess.com. Practice your reading comprehension skills (which will later help you on the SAT/ACT) by reading some of these long form articles and books:
