Emotion Literacy Advocates (ELA) is grateful for our partnership with PathIvy. Through PathIvy’s Internship Program, we have been fortunate to connect with students that possess—and want to further develop—leadership skills and talents by engaging with our non-profit organization’s mission. Our experiences with PathIvy students have been inspiring and fruitful, including one particular book production project requiring a conscientious eye and editorial discernment; and another where PathIvy interns are applying their ingenuity and gumption to expand our reach, by devising a hands-on approach to share their learning with their peers through their schools' "ELA club” format. We are also working with PathIvy students towards setting up presentation opportunities where they can share some of our short musical story videos, as prompts for self-reflection, writing and discussion, for younger students. Being an arts-based, multi-media emotion literacy learning organization, placing a high value on self-agency, we maintain an open-ended avenue for students to explore their own unique relationship to our curriculum concepts, methods and intentions. Student interns, then, cultivate ways to fine-tune and impart their learning, en route to strengthening both individual confidence and community. PathIvy’s Internship Program is instrumental in making this dynamic exchange possible. We look forward to continuing our partnership on behalf of students for whom communication acuity for self and social awareness is an essential part of their life goals and aspirations

I wanted to take a moment to THANK YOU for allowing us to have TN and TE as interns this past summer! I felt it was a rewarding experience for both us and our interns. Both of our folks were extremely bright and have good futures in front of them no matter what domain they choose. We gave them an opportunity to see more of the business and operations side of tech, and exposed them to a variety of services that we provide. They were engaged and asked great questions. Not once did I feel like I didn't have their undivided attention, and their level of engagement and interest kept us energized. We appreciate getting to play a small part in shaping the growth and future of Tanya and Tejaswi.

As an internship host of the Pathivy Internship Program, we were impressed with the maturity, dedication, and growth mindset exhibited by our intern. Despite having limited experience with AI, she quickly mastered the necessary concepts and leveraged AI technologies to create impactful marketing campaigns and podcasts. Many of our alumni interns from prestigious institutions such as the University of Washington, UCLA, and Washington University have gone on to secure positions at top tech companies, including Microsoft, Dell, and Amazon. This success underscores the effectiveness and value of the Pathivy Internship Program in preparing students for high-impact careers in the tech industry.

As a woman-owned small business owner, scaling to the next level while improving our profit margins has been such a difficult challenge for us. PathIvy has helped grow our business while training and equipping the next generation. Over the summer, we had 3 interns who wanted some hands-on experience in the e-commerce industry. They helped us level up our website with coding. Did some back end administrative tasks such as delete duplicate customers from our database. We even had some graphic design help to improve our marketing. I personally found this a very rewarding experience and hope to have more interns next summer!

We're thrilled with how our first internship program went this year! The interns exceeded our expectations with their self-motivation and initiative. Based on what they said, the interns gained valuable insights into work-life balance, self-management, time management, and effective teaching techniques. They really enjoyed the experience!
